Irish company Tayto unveiled its new culinary advancement: A cheese and onion chocolate bar. Could it be the most vile candy ever released?
The company claims that it quickly sold out of the 100,000 bars it initially produced for the product rollout.
Irish food online retailer Eamon Eastwood told Australia’s Herald Sun that the candy bar has “an unusual taste — crunchy chocolate and then a lingering taste of cheese of onion.”
A contest raffling off some of the bars picked up several thousand likes and shares on the retailer’s Taste Ireland Facebook page.
Maybe I just don’t know the Irish beyond their affinity for inserting colorful marshmallows in otherwise plain breakfast cereal, but I’m genuinely horrified by this development.
