Previous studies have connected pornography consumption with various problems around sexual aggression, intimacy issues, and other undesirable things. But it may actually just be meaningless!
A new study from the Journal of Sexual Medicine shows that previous studies about porn consumption have been narrowly focused and possibly predisposed to producing a negative outcome.
Researchers at the University of Copenhagen surveyed 4,600 people asking about a wide variety of sex acts. Among 15 to 25 year-olds, 90% of males and half of females admitted to having watched pornography in the last year.
The study debunked previous studies that showed a correlation between pornography viewing and high-risk sexual behaviors.
The study concludes that pornography is “just one factor among many that may influence the sexual behaviors of young people.”
So basically, any degenerate acts you take part in are because you’re screwed up, not because you binge-watched the MILFS Like It Big series like it was Breaking Bad on Netflix. And now we know that.
