It’s called “Jash” which is a pretty stupid name, but everything else about this looks awesome. Apparently their first choice was “Josh.” Google and YouTube’s attempts at paid content have been pretty grim so far – with approximately seventeen gazillion videos to choose from, paying cash money to make more is a losing proposition. But if there’s one thing Google has a lot of, it’s cash money, so here they go again. They’ve hired an all-star comedy team including Sarah Silverman, Tim & Eric, Michael Cera and Reggie Watts, and given them free rein to do whatever in the service of laughs. Here’s a five-minute promotional video for the damn thing that they premiered at SXSW.
