So speaking of Pokemon, did you hear a brand new game has just been announced, for the 3DS? Naturally there’s actually two, which compliment each other: Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. Here’s the trailer…
Well, it’s in 3D at least. I should be excited, yet I’m not. Despite being a diehard fan back in the day. Mostly because, unlike most past gaming franchises that have managed to sufficiently and logically evolve, Pokemon lags behind (as always).
I guess I’d be far more excited for an ultra-detailed, super high def take on the subject matter. Something like this, by Evan Liaw, an environmental artist…
Sure it’s only the backgrounds, but imagine the Pokemon in the same vein? Sorry, but I think a realistic Squirtle would be pretty much the coolest thing ever.
