A Santa Claus was fired after telling kids about the tragic incident at Sandy Hook Elementary School and then telling them that Santa isn’t real. You had one job, mall Santa Claus. One job.
The unidentified British Santa Claus was visited by Wendy and Stephen Kennett along with their two young children for a standard Santa visit and photo op.
According to the Telegraph, the bad Santa asked the kids if they were good, then told them, “[T]here are bad people in the world and bad things happen, like what happened to those children in America.”
The Santa then allegedly went into graphic detail about the Sandy Hook killings, prompting the father to try to stop the session.
Santa responded by telling mother Kennett and the little girl to leave, then whispering into the Kennetts’ son’s ear that Santa isn’t real and that everything Santa does is the result of the youngster’s mother and father.
The mall Santa finished out the day and was fired by his employers, Notcutts Garden Center, after his shift.
Something tells me Santa may have been hitting the ol’ egg nog a little hard that day.
