How do you get a brutal dictator out of office? With really good advertising. This is an interesting flick that passed under my radar a little bit, so it’s cool to see a new trailer for it. No takes us back to Chile in the late 1980s, when Army general Augusto Pinochet had the entire country under his thumb. Most of the citizens had no idea what democracy even was, so this movie tells the tale of a young adman working to create TV spots to get voters all hyped up about freedom, while at the same time his boss is doing the same for Pinochet. It’s also shot on the same low-definition Sony magnetic tape that Chilean newscasts of the period were on. No opens on February 15, 2013.
