Mike Brown didn’t work and Mike D’Antoni clearly has no clue how to fix it. So who are the Lakers turning to for advice? Why Jesse Jackson of course. The 71-year-old civil rights leader spent several minutes in the locker room following last night’s loss to the Knicks.

And there you have it folks. The Lakers situation has reached THAT level. The level where outside influences start whispering sweet nothings into their ear. Judging from this exchange with a reporter after the game, Dwight Howard might need it.
Reporter:”Do you feel comfortable in the offense right now? Is your role very clear cut?”
Howard: “Is my role clear cut?”
Reporter: “In the offense. In the terms of what Mike wants for you.”
Howard: “Uh, we’ll see”
9-14, 1-6 in their last 7 games, 2-8 on the road—I won’t say the season’s lost but it’s getting pretty darn close. Mike D’Antoni, how do you feel about that statement?
