Yesterday, members of the Tampa Bay Bucs, with cheerleaders in tow, visited All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg. They sang carols, signed autographs, took pictures and brought joy to many families.
“We’re a football family and this was very exciting” said Crystal Schuller, mother of ailing newborn daughter, Claire, after star tailback Doug Martin, tight end Danny Noble, and a pair of practice squad players – defensive end Ernest Owusu and safety Sean Baker – crowded into their room during their hour-long goodwill tour.
“That was a really nice surprise,” added her husband, Chris. “It’s been a great time for us here and that was just icing on the cake.”
I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m gonna need some kleenex.
