Stopping Adrian Peterson is a team effort. It takes all 11 players on the field to bring him to a screeching halt. Unfortunately, the Detroit Lions don’t have 11 competent defensive players. Their secondary is a who’s who of arena league degenerates and 7th-round flame-outs. Which is why it’s totally understandable they attempted to pull this off during yesterday’s game.
Yes folks, not 12, not 13 but 14 goddamn players on the field. They called timeout before Christian Ponder snapped the ball but let’s be honest here, AP would have scored anyways.
