The year of the umpire continued last night with perhaps the most ridiculous ejection of 2013. Tony Randazzo booted Mike Aviles from a game that was already over. Takes someone with a massive ego to pull that off.
Aviles had argued earlier in the at-bat about a passed ball that was ruled a strike. Randazzo believed it was a foul tip (replays showed otherwise).
“The game’s over clown, what are you doing?” Yea, that pretty much sums up everyone’s feeling on the incident.
