During last night’s Bruins game, fans took over the National Anthem in one of the most moving sports moments in recent memory.
It’s been a pretty crappy week for Bostonians—no, actually, it’s been a crappy week for all Americans. The marathon bombings rocked each and everyone of us to the core. But we stand together, united to fight terrorism—foreign or domestic.
Some might say sports are secondary during a tragedy like this. I can’t disagree. It does, however, provide a brief reprieve for those affected. And in situations like this, gives us an opportunity to pound our chest, be proud of what America stands for.
