An Indiana man called 911 seeking cheeseburgers. Small problem: 911 is an emergency service, not a chain restaurant serving delicious foods. The man learned that lesson the hard way.

According to police, Gregory Jackson Sr. called 911 nine times in an attempt to get them to drop off cheeseburgers at his New Castle, Ind. home.

A 911 transcript obtained by WISH-TV reveals the depths of Jackson’s stupidity.

Dispatcher: Do you have an emergency sir, because you dialed 911.
Jackson Sr.: I dialed 911.
Dispatcher: Yeah you dialed 911.
Dispatcher: I don’t, I am not understanding a word your (sic) saying sir.
Jackson Sr.: (unintelligible)
Dispatcher: OK, what did you need?
Dispatcher: OK, so why did you call 911 for, what do you need.
Dispatcher: Do you have an emergency?
Jackson Sr.: A cheeseburger.
Dispatcher: Have a good day.

Jackson Sr. then called back because of course he did.

Dispatcher: 911, [what is] your emergency?
Jackson Sr.: Yes, I just spoke with you. You hung up on me.
Dispatcher: Well I asked if you had an emergency. You said no, you needed a cheeseburger. So we don’t take cheeseburger orders.

Police eventually arrived at Jackson Sr.’s home not with cheeseburgers, but with a warrant for his arrest. The 52-year-old failed to appear in court just two days prior for a separate arrest.

Jackson Sr. is currently being held in jail with a court appearance scheduled for Wednesday. He’s previously served jail time for theft, dealing controlled substances, and criminal recklessness.
