There’s a fine line between clever alcohol packaging and turning a your product into a novelty act. We’re not fans of overly clever bottles, but a little innovation goes a long way. The criteria used to judge the entries are creativity, form, style, functional innovation, and graphic design, which seems like it would immediately eliminate the joke bottles like AK 47 Kalashnikov Vodka.
Until yesterday I had no idea that there were awards for liquor and beer bottles. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised though. Everyone like to win a trophy now and then. Blue ribbons for all!
