The Hot Tub Boat is pretty much exactly what you’d imagine from the title: A floating hot tub with an electric motor that lets you steer, provided you’re not too busy relaxing. It’s also bafflingly not been featured on a porn shoot yet.
The Hot Tub Boat is fairly straightforward in its mechanics. The part that keeps you from drifting off into a hot-tub death is a electric motor you control with a joystick. Meanwhile, the warm tingly part (get your mind out of the gutter) is powered by a diesel boiler, good for ten hours of bubbles.
It also has teak decks and no fewer that four ice chests, you know, if you were wondering what this thing was actually designed for.
Hot Tub Boats deserves credit: they worked closely with the Coast Guard to make their product as safe as possible, and if you choose to rent one, currently only in Seattle, it’ll be on a lake. But if you want to own one of your very own, you can: They currently go for $42,000 a pop.
